A Confession

I'm afraid I have a confession to make. This morning, after the main set, I swam an easy 200 warmdown (as I usually do). I was concentrating on perfect form (again as I usually do during warmdown)--long strokes, good rotation, balanced position in the water. Only later did I realize I was guilty of...TI-like swimming. There, it's out. I feel better now.

Technique and Instinct (TI) the all important thing when it comes to swimming. I think I told the story before about not training for 6 months, going on a diet, using man tan around my goggles and on my back to let everyone think I had been training out doors and was in shape. Cliff Lumsdens wife said look out, George is in shape. It was the first race of the season 28 miles from Chicotimi to Port Alfred Quebec, no training whatsoever, and came in second.
