This afternoon, the pool where I am swimming was set up for LCM. Usually it is set up for 25 yds. I love to swim 50 meters. I smiled throught out the entire practice! This made me wonder if other peole enjoy different lengths.

Do realize what kind of breaststroke time you can get in a 20 yard pool, 5 pull outs for a 100 yards. I remember them in highschool. Many of the schools in Westchester, NY were 20 yards.
I worked at a state park, pool built pre WWII, 50 yards.
Hey Kim, thanx for the Barton Springs story! I had to have been swimming with Beverly Sheffield from 1946-49 while a student in the brand new Music Building on the UT campus. I remember him as being the first of three good guys named Beverly that I have known. We were always told that 68 degrees was not an average, but a constant. Fond memories...

I knew a man named Beverely once. He volunteered for me, his wife had died and he was retired. He was one of the greatest peole I've ever known. there must be something about men with not typical names.
