The maryland LMSC had a swim meet this past Saturday at the Meadowbrook pool in Baltimore, home of North Baltimore Aquatics.
The pool manager got the swim team kids to come and be timers for our meet.
End result, Katie Hoff the current world champion in the 200 and 400 IM was standing at the end of lane 5 with a stopwatch timing the old farts.

I had never thought of it that way.
There do seem to be a lot of washouts who once they quit swimming, quit swimming for good or for a very long time. They might enjpoy masters where you bring a different type of attitude to the pool.
