This is probably going to sounds strange, but does anybody know of any really awesome pools along I-40 between Albuquerque and Oklahoma City, or I-44 between Oklahoma City and St. Louis? I'm relocating from New Mexico to Washington, DC and don't have friends/family along that part of the route, so I figure I may as well try to make one of my overnight stops a city with a spectacular pool to swim in.

yes, there is the aquatic center at the oklahoma city community college. I hear it's a pretty good facility and they have masters swimmers that practice in the mornings there (sans coach)

I'm from St. Louis, and there are lots of pools to swim in, mostly rec pools if you don't need a team atmosphere. And of course, a masters team if you need group motivation:
