Or maybe not quite that dramatic, but I'm sooo frustrated - here's why: My normal pool is closed for a two week matinence so I've been swimming at the local Y instead. Now I was out of town for the last half-week and couldn't swim. So I figure I'll go and get a swim in today and get back in the water. Aaaand......the Y is CLOSED! Not fair! I'm going to New York in for a week soon and there will be no swimming there, so at best I'll get in two more swims before I leave, and two after that before I move back into school. Aghagha. Dry land just isn't as fun as swimming. :(

  • and one more thing, you CAN swim in New York, if you are in new york city are check out www.metroswim.org - there's a few teams around NYC, red tide swims at baruch college and has morning and evening practices. you can also pay and drop in swim to baruch, or some of the Y's around town. The Y on 14 street (between 6 and 7 aves) is pretty nice - there are morning masters practice there as well - The Y on the west side of Central Park is also nice. I think it's around 65th St. It is old but they keep the water cold and have lots of lap swim times.
