Pool is closed-what are you doing instead?

OK, annual pool maintenance has shut down the pool for a week. I plan on continuing the weight lifting, but the end of the week will be a few rest days after a very intense August work-out wise. Will add some walking and biking to make up for not swimming. If your pool is temporarily shut down, what will you do to stay active?

  • Mine's going to be closed starting next Mon. for a week also! But the other branch Y may be one choice or my local h.s. altho I will have to pay another membership fee to the h.s. It will depend on how much time I have during that week. My regular pool is within walking distance and thus easy to work into my schedule. However, whether I can fit in swimming or not, I've been a runner for a long time and so will have that regardless. Still, I like how not only has my swimming improved but my running as well, since the swimming helps me recover faster from long runs and track workouts. This has kept injuries to a minimum--so I do want to keep up the swimming if at all possible!
