Best way to let out aggression while swimming?

I need a way to let out some anger safely, and I figure doing it during my swim tomorrow is a good enoug way. Any suggestions? (Background: I just got a new car two weeks ago - my first one - and today it was dented by some ******* in a parking lot. Two golfball sized dents and streaks of white paint. And I have to pay for the repairs myself. I'm so depressed and angry at the same time.....)

  • As thisgirl suggested, sprints seem to be great for dealing w/ stuff like that. I come more from a running background, new to swimming, but when I'm feeling angry, running some sprints (carefully, tho, since I'm not going to injure myself and cause more frustrattion) seems to put me into present tense, gets me focused on the moment... hard to think of too much else when I'm in anaerobic range. Then feel a lot more relaxed afterward. And as Sheala suggested, I've found those imaginary "races" are a lot of fun, esp'y if the person who has irritated me is in a position of power. (Okay, bad guy, me, you, the running track ... high noon....) ;) Sorry to hear about your car. Hope it doesn't turn out to be too expensive! Not worth letting him steal your peace of mind though!
