Help!
I'm trying to aquire the motivation to swim daily...well six days a week, one day of rest. I need to lose around 50 pounds by winter, but I still can't get myself in the pool.
I don't know why. I guess a few reasons could be:
(1) Social anxiety
(2) People seeing how fat I am
(3) Failing
Can someone help me gain motivation to get into the pool so I can improve my life?

I'd be interested to know how fast you could go from a proper start, but I'm guessing the pool you swim in doesn't have blocks / allow diving. Sad.
But yeah, you should definitately get into masters / competitive swimming again, especially if you have some talent in an area. Although, you might want to consider getting your endurance up so you can swim longer distances with a team, I'd guess.
