Help!
I'm trying to aquire the motivation to swim daily...well six days a week, one day of rest. I need to lose around 50 pounds by winter, but I still can't get myself in the pool.
I don't know why. I guess a few reasons could be:
(1) Social anxiety
(2) People seeing how fat I am
(3) Failing
Can someone help me gain motivation to get into the pool so I can improve my life?
Thanks!
Best,
Chris

Two more things ... One, if you just had ACL surgery you might want to stay away from breaststroke that is the hardest one on the knees ... and Two, if you are looking for a way to lose weight, I'd suggest walking and or running more than swimming ...
I walk daily, but I can't run long - my knee can't handle it.
My orthopedic surgeon said I can do anything at this point -- besides skiing and soccer. I like the breaststroke a lot. :S
