Help!
I'm trying to aquire the motivation to swim daily...well six days a week, one day of rest. I need to lose around 50 pounds by winter, but I still can't get myself in the pool.
I don't know why. I guess a few reasons could be:
(1) Social anxiety
(2) People seeing how fat I am
(3) Failing
Can someone help me gain motivation to get into the pool so I can improve my life?

Heh, funny you mention ACL tears...I just had ACL reconstruction surgery in April.
I think I am going to go real basic for the first few weeks:
Warm Up:
50 yards freestyle 50 % speed
100 yards breaststroke 70 % speed
Routine:
3x 50 yards freestyle 100 % speed
150 yards breastroke 100 % speed
Warm down:
50 yards breasktroke 50 % speed
Does this make sense?
