With the advent of Libby Lenton's 51.91 WR in the 100m free. I propose a swim off and battle of the sexes. Paul "the evil" Smith (45) representing Bobby Riggs vs. Libby Lenton (20) as Billie Jean King. My money rests on the female. John Smith

    To JS: I think I'd agree with the theme of what Hawaiiwoman is saying in the sense that, all other things being equal, men will beat women in athletic events. However, the differences are becoming smaller (see graph on the following link for marathon times) www.marathonguide.com/.../index.cfm With the narrow difference, when you have a situation like that with Paula Radcliffe, of an exceptionally talented woman against less talented men (and this could happen on an international scale) then the woman could win.
