A little overkill to call Phelps lethargic and uninspired... it wasn't an Athens performance, but when you can have an off meet swimming off events and still win that many medals, "lethargic" should not be used as a descriptor of your performance. If memory serves, he swam a best time in winning the 200 free. The only thing uninspired was the complete lack of publicity for the event in the US.
