I'm watching the world swimming championships on CBC this week (why, oh why, can't any U.S. stations pick it up ferchryssake?), and I noticed some intermittent whistling during the breaststroke events.
Wassupwitdat?
Adam
That is cool that you can get the CBC in Seattle. I remember one time I was in Buffalo and they get the CBC or some Canadian station and I was able to watch the Canadian Nationals. It is too bad that they don't have the CBC on my cable company where I live.
Adam, I would imagine the whistling is being done by spectators who are timing their whistles for the moment their swimmer of choice surfaces to breathe.
You would probably hear the same thing in a butterfly race.
