For those of you who have a Kohl's nearby, I just found Speedo racing suits marked down to $20.40, originally $68.00 They are lycra, not polyester, but I thought it was a pretty good deal. I had to get a size bigger than what I would normally buy, but it is fine for practicing. What other department stores carry racing suits by Speedo, TYR, Nike, etc? I bet this is a good time to go searching through the racks.
I got 2 Speedo Polyester reversible suits for $12.95 at Marshall's. They also had Lycras for $12.95.

Marshall, Ross, TJ Maxx, Mervyns. They all have Speedo and TYR. Sporting good outlets are good for $25 Speedo racing suits for women. Also, any specialty local store catering to swim teams, like a college/university. They will offer more variety and you'll want to check them out at the end of August for discontinued styles.

I purchased a suit at Kohl's 2 weeks ago and paid about $24. I had originally purchased it 2 weeks before THAT and had paid about $34. Now you're saying I have to purchase it AGAIN for about $20.40 (plus tax)!
I always buy suits at the end of the season or try to hit Marshalls/TJMaxx in April/May. The best buys are at the very end of the season BUT you do run the risk of your size not being available. I like a particular back style on the Speedo and have to buy it when I can. I'll NEVER pay full price!!!!
I checked Marshall's and TJ Maxx this weekend in Indianapolis, but only the largest sizes of racing suits were left. They were going for $15 though, an excellent price.
OK, used my 15% off coupon and got the Kohls suit for 17.26. They do run small.

Our local Costco has women's Speedo lycra suits for $20.

suits aren't the competition suits but the women's line. They're sized like dresses (10-12-14) instead of by 30-32-34-36. Also they have different backs and either shelf bras or cups.
My Costco didn't have the adult Speedos but the Janzen.
For some reason, my local Marshalls and TJMaxx had more Nike suits that Speedo. Must be a regional shipment difference. And I always find the smaller sizes left!

I'm amazed at how expensive women's suits are. Unfortunately those stores rarely have men's. I get e-mails from several discouters when they are having sales or clos-outs on suits. That's usually when I buy. Also, try the regular national suppliers grabbars.
