I've never been able to accurately measure how many calories I have burned in a hour of swimming. I can track no problem on a treadmill or a bike and then transfer those numbers to running or biking outside but swimming I'm not sure. Any general guidelines?

Have you ever checked out fitday.com ? Its free and it halps track everything you eat and do. The swimming estimates are just rough estimates though and do not take into consideration age and weight. It is a very neat site that helps you see how many calories are coming in and going out. You can even go in a create your own recipes for calculating your food intake.
