Are Triathletes worth the dues they pay toward Masters Swimming?
I say we force all Triathletes to spend one day a week in the sprint lane, one day a week doing stroke (i.e. IM) work, and then make them focus on their starts and turns.
This invasion needs to be controlled.... :-)

It seems to me you want a do what I say coach who cannot adapt to the needs of his clients. After all they are clients and generally pay for his services. I myself would never swim for anyone who told me to do backstroke or breaststroke and I am not a triathlete. All are not 4 stroke swimmers.
My suggestion to four stroke swimmers go elsewhere.
George, or maybe you would find a freestyle only coach/workout? Seems counterproductive to me to suggest that people wanting to swim all four strokes go somewhere else. Swimming all four strokes is a good thing because it taxes other muscle groups/aerobic capability. Just my 2 lempiras worth.
I'm an "only freestyler" now but I am not superior enough to suggest others go elsewhere. And now that I am in Texas for awhile, I have a much bigger problem: finding a pool that isn't over 88 degrees!
