Yesterday, a report was releassed that found that flonase was extremely helpful with chronic sinusitiis, especially with people who either swim or have had polyps. I'm in both categories. I truly believe it helps. :) I think that it has helped keep the swelling in my nasal passages down.
Be careful though, one of the side effects is nosebleeds...and I happened to have them. Started getting nosebleeds about 2 days after starting it, but they went away shortly after I stopped.

And it smells like flowers!
Flonase is great stuff. I use it all the time when I get sick.
The study found that swimmers with sinitis, even if only occasionally, should use it as a preventive medicine.
I've never had a nose bleed since I started Flonase. Before then I had them all of the time. I've had a broken nose reset, two operations toremove polyps from all four sinus cavities and I have moderate/severe asthma. Flonase has really helped. My Pulmonologist told me that they might be coming out with a drop form sometime next year. I don't know any more though.
