Bad Race

I got the idea for this at a recent meet and worked on it some since

With apologies to Daniel Powter:

There was the moment you needed the most

You look at the board and you see that you lost

Was all your training all in vain

should you hide your head in shame,

No, there's no need to get all down

You just had a bad race

the clock it don't lie

turn it around and kiss it good bye

learn from your mistakes then give it a try

Next time you'll be faster,

You just had a bad race

You had a bad race.

  • Awww, King Frog, you're still the KING in my book. I've been following your races at Nationals and watched your 200 breaststroke race. I missed the 100 while I was training, so I still need to catch that one, but I saw the results. I'm so sorry your results are not what you had hoped and train for; I feel your pain.  Been there, done that!

    You should be proud of what you have accomplished, though!  Need a confidence booster?  Look yourself up in the USMS database and just LOOK at your successes over all these years!  You are the envy of all the other frogs in the pond, my friend.  How many other frogs have broken two FINA Masters World Records???
