You are right that TN had great teams. They won the 1978 NCAA Championships and were favored to win in 1979 but were 2nd. I think those were the best finishes they ever had. I remember Marc Forman and Paul Carter who is swimming very well now in USMS were on those teams. I still think that Tennessee had the 3 best sprinters in NCAA history from the same school during a 10 period. Those sprinters were David Egar, John Trembly, and Andy Cohen.
