Now that I'm older, I worry about slips and possible falls on slippery pool decks. My old Crocs are dangerous, and my old flip-flops not much better. Any one got a recommendation? They need to slide on and off fast, so no full shoe.

Maybe most people will cringe, but. due to the slipperiness you mention, I don't wear anything when walking on pool decks. It is one more thing to keep track of and I would rather not slip than worry about athlete's foot, etc.. Crocs are the worst when their treads are gone.
Thanks. I tried bare feet at my last big meet. But found that pretty slippery, too. Of course, I suppose pool decks differ according to what they're made of and age.
Just bought a pair of Sketchers Foamies; sandals with a back strap. Stays on firmly and haven't had any slipping problems on deck.
Thank you. I'll look into them.
I use Speedo sandals that have vents on the bottom to allow the water to drain and also find pretty good traction. Mine are at least 12 years old and still doing fine! They are hard to find in shops though. I did find a pair on Amazon - but only available in pink!
I use Keen Newport water sandles for pool, boats, kayak and other wet surfaces. I use the men’s because the women’s are not wide enough. Keen has another model Venice that is similar.
