Since we have started Seinfeld talk here, does anyone get into "Curb Your Enthusiasm" on HBO.
Good show. I don't have HBO but I've been watching the DVDs. Larry David is hilarious.
I used to play on a softball team and our name was "Serenity Now". No one had any idea what that meant then but now thanks to Seinfeld reruns every day at least 2 times, more and more people get it. That was a fantastic episode.
Since we have started Seinfeld talk here, does anyone get into "Curb Your Enthusiasm" on HBO. That show is fantastic. It seems the more I watch it, the more I realize how brilliant Larry David is. Seinfeld seems to get all the credit for Seinfeld, but David is absolutely hilarious. For those of you who don't know, Costanza in Seinfeld is really Larrry David. The more you see "Curb" the more you realize how great Jason Richards was at playing such a misfit as David.
Just thought I'd share some thoughts. The only reason I got so into it, was when I was bedridden last year for 10 weeks before my surgery I logged a LOT of TV time that I don't normally get. Got way into that show and "24". If y'all haven't seen that one, it is excellent!
Check out the thread I started last fall entitled "Surgery" in the General Discussions category for all the gory details. Needless to say it sucked real bad, but I am back (no pun intended) and trying to get moving in the water. Recoery is taking much longer than I thought.
Larry David, one of the writers for Seinfeld, is one of the funniest people on the planet. I LOVE (using the "L" word!!) that guy - freakin' hilarious. If you don't get HBO, rent the series.
thank you, glad y'all like it
be sure you click on each link to each volume

when I first found it several years ago he had 4 volumes

Frank: I got no leg room back here. Move your seat forward.
Estelle: That's as far as it goes.
Frank: There's a mechanism. You just pull it, and throw your body weight.
Estelle: I pulled it. It doesn't go.
Frank: If you want the leg room, say you want the leg room! Don't blame
the mechanism!
George: All right, Dad, we're five blocks from the house. Sit
sideways.
Frank: Like an animal. Because of her, I have to sit here like an animal!
Serenity now! Serenity now!
George: What is that?
Frank: Doctor gave me a relaxation cassette. When my blood pressure gets
too high, the man on the tape tells me to say, 'Serenity now!'
George: Are you supposed to yell it?
Frank: The man on the tape wasn't specific.
George: What happened to the screen door? It blew off again?
Estelle: I told you to fix that thing.
Frank: Serenity nowww!

Right on! :) This reminds me that I need to start watching the Seinfeld DVD collection that I was given for Christmas.
That was a really pretty site Ande. Those pictures were amazing. I love that quote "The giant oak is an acorn that held its ground." I've never thought of it like that before.
