How can I figure out how many miles I am doing? How do I convert when the coach says we're swimming a 3200? I know this should be easy but can't remember since it's been a while.

Actually, it's what's sometimes called a "metric mile" (since 1500m is the round metric distance that's closest to a mile). A real mile would be approximately 70 lengths of a 25y pool.
