OK, it has been way too long since I've slipped into some lycra briefs, so I wear swim shorts instead. :D The problem is, the pockets in the shorts create a significant drag and I find it harder to do my workouts. I know I need to get some with mesh pockets, or no pockets at all, so do any of the males here who also wear shorts have a favorite brand name?

Try a drag suit of some kind. I use the Nike Mesh Drag suit. It gives a good amount of drag and it is fairly big, if you aren't a fan of the little Speedos.
