Thursday a reporter left a message on my voicemail. I called her back on Friday and we set an appointment to meet in Sewell Park in San Marcos.
Friday afternoon at 4:00 pm I met with her and she interviewed me and took some photos for the article.
Today, Sunday the San Marcos Daily record, ran a feature story.

Thanks, I haven't done an open water swim since boy scouts.
In the photo I'm swimming upstream in the San Marcos River which swiftly runs through sewell park. It's about a quarter mile from the San Marcos springs that flows with clear 68 degree water. I mainly swim in pools, though sewell is an awesome place to swim.
Did you notice the piece of plant between my neck and shoulder?

Judging by the photo in the story, open water swimming must be your next challenge Ande- perhaps swimming the USMS series of open water champs, but doing them as IM...yes, there's a worthy challenge for you...
