Biometric network engineer/system administrator. I design computer networks with my companies software/hardware for gov't agencies for a system called an AFIS, automated finger print ID system. Been doing this for past 9 yrs, prior to that out of college I was a police officer for 4 yrs.
I have to start by saying that, as if being intimidated by your times wasn't enough I'm now intimitadated by your jobs too! I must admit I'm glad I haven't seen someone in my (hopefully one day) field!
I'm a full time student studying advertising. Hoping to be Creative Director somewhere, someday. The Creative Director is the one is charge of basically all creative concepts on any ad you see in any medium be it, TV, print, billboard, etc.
Beth,
I didn't know you were an ICN nurse. Carrick (15 months) was born 5 weeks early (we still don't know why). He spent 2 weeks in the ICN.
I have SO MUCH RESPECT for the ICN nurses. You not only take care of these helpless little creatures, you take care of the parents (who feel like helpless little creatures!) You are amazing and totally underappreciated for all that you do (I think mostly because most of the population doesn't even know the ICN is there).
I thank you and my hat's off to you. :)
Karen,
Thank-you so much! You really made my day.
I loved my job! The hours and having to work weekends and holidays with two children just got to be too much. I'll go back to it eventually.
6th grade teachers are pretty awesome and often unappreciated. My hats off to you too!!
From reading the list of everyone's careers, it sounds like swimmers are pretty awesome people!!
I'm a contracts administrator, working for the Brazilian government, I manage the Air Force contracts we have in foreign currencies (foreign being anything that's not in our home currency "Real")
Intellectual prostitute and Minion of Evil: I do mathematics and software systems design for a company that has the most advanced marketing software in the world. Many of the companies you love to hate use our stuff.
Also, own a small horse stabling operation and do some horse rescue work on occasion.

Wow, you guys are all smart. I almost don't want to post mine. :(
I'm an almost-out-of-school Pastry Chef/Culinary Artist.
Also a freelance tattoo designer (not the actual inking, but people pay me to draw tattoos for them)
