G.I.S. (Geographic Information Systems) Specialist
Currently, I work for an environmental and underground engineering consulting company keeping track of their chemical and geologic data and doing various kinds of analysis and display on that data. I’m also in charge of managing, creating, and maintaining the system, writing small programs and providing technical support to system users. That part of my job is kind of a specialized systems analysis and design role. I also get to create systems for clients when the need arises which I absolutely love. Very soon I would like to start doing G.I.S. consulting on my own or with a G.I.S. consulting firm.
