What do you do?

Just curious. What do you do for a living? I'm a 6th grade english/history teacher, full time. :p

  • Jim, I watched your 100 at Indy, you'll be great! Toes are overrated! :p I'm glad your son is another success story :) Beth, Being a teacher I can feel underappreciated (although I don't teach to feel appreciated- I do it because I love it). But I did want to share with you that when Carrick was discharged I wrote a long poem about our time in the ICN dedicated to the nurses; I bought them a bear and put a spray painted gold diaper on it (they got my golden diaper award). And of course I gave them some See's candy. I wrote letters to most of the nurses (I didn't meet some of them as they worked graves) and the doctors. I was stunned when one of the doctors called to tell ME thank you. If I find the poem I'll send it to you. One of my better pieces of writing!
