I wear a Polar HRM when I run or do other aerobic workouts. I've just started swimming and I guess I can wear it in the pool. too. Does anyone else? I went to the Polar website and it says my HRM is water resistant to 30M. So that means I can wear it in the pool for lap swimming. Right? Comments?

I've worn a Polar in the pool and had no problems with it.
I wear my Polar all the time in the pool. But do be careful about pressing any buttons when it is underwater or very wet. I attempted to keep track of laps, and water did get into the HRM and I had to send it back to the company for repair. Since then, I do not try to push anything for laps.

Thanks - my Polar has few bells and whistles anyway - but I'll be careful about not using the features when wet. Will be interesting to see how my HR is in the pool vs. my training runs.
I wear my Polar daily and I have found that it loses contact with my chest frequently. The two things that have helped are: making sure that my bottom suit is snug and that the chest strap is snug also. I find that when I do flip turns the water rushes down the front of my suit and flips the strap down.
