I'm always amazed by Canadians when they say they have such a distinct culture from the US. 2. For many people this new pyramid takes two to three hits onthe computer before you actually get to hte area that deals with your specific diet. I think that it is extremely confusing to look at first off because the bands are so narrow and don't suggest how most people look at a pyramid as building blocks links ot eachother. 3. The last pyramid came from the dietitians at the USDA. I was once told by a dietitian who worked at the USDA that the USDA is the single largest employeer of dietitians inthe country. After that it is the state of NewYork. that was inthe eighties. I don't know if that is still true or not.
