  • I developed a weird lazy 2-beat kick thing late in college in my freestyle and the habit continued to my early Masters days.   Tended to make my breathing really funky and oddly balanced.  Been working really hard the past year or so (since getting back in the water after COVID restrictions started being lifted) to build a decently balanced, consistent 6-beat kick and bilateral breathing has been very helpful for that.

    I still really tend to breathe to my strong side when I get to sprint speed though.
