I went to Masters practice today without a care in the world. I get to the pool and one lifeguard came up to our workout group and said, "the Master program is cancelled because no one paid the dues." First of all, we(my workout mates) have a fee every workout session(like every 7 weeks). We might not remember the dates of the session but once we hear about the new session, the dues are paid. Second, the new session started today and Pool Director just cut the program. There was no warning of the program being cut. I don't get why an Aquatic Director would cut a Masters program where they get money from it and that they have two USMS Top Ten Swimmers in their respective. We do have til Wednesday to get our dues paid but the way this situation played out was so unprofessional.
Any comments! Should I call my local newspaper and make the facility look bad! My local paper is dying to find anything to write about!!!!
Tom,
If your goal is to make the pool managers look bad and get back at the aquatic director, then by all means call the paper.
If your goal is to get the Masters program back in the water, then forget the paper and meet with the aquatic director to understand their position then work to get the program reinstated.
