The University of Georgia 1980-83 Pre-Vet. I swam for 2 years with Head Coach Jack Baurle. Then I changed my major to Nursing and lost 2 quarters of difficult classes!! I decided I wanted to take care of people and have a family life!! I attended The Medical College of Georgia 83-85 and received my BS in Nursing in 1985.

Sad to see so many M*ch*gan people here ...
I'm a Michigan person, but not THAT Michigan!
Michigan State 1988-1992. Swam all four years. BS in Mechanical Engineering in 1992, MS in 1996. Moved to Seattle in January 1997, and started swimming again in 2002.

I actually lived in Whitefish...but the whole area is quite beautiful.
It is a nice area and nice town. I was there a couple years ago for skiing.
BS, Teacher Education, 1981, Towson University (Towson, Maryland)
Major: Music Education (Instrument: Organ )
Never saw the interior of Burdick Hall at Towson where the pool is located until after I graduated, swimming for fitness (1981-88). Joined USMS in 8/01 with nary a regret. (Well, except for the ribbing I get here from time to time from folks like Mr. Moose et al.) The current Towson swim team does very well with a very strong program. Their very competent coach, Patrick Mead, is also Towson's Masters coach. And, don't ask me why I didn't join their Masters team ... I found about them after joining the one I am on now.
Why I am in Public Safety/Law Enforcement is another l-o-n-g story. To Edward the Head: a very good childhood/high school friend of mine has been the Chaplain at FSU for many, many years. Small world department.

I don't do winter well.
I love being outside and being able to do outdoorsy active things... I'd love to VISIT in the winter and ski though ...
So what the heck are you living in Chicago for? Move west, you'll love it.
Scansy: I can relate with that kid!
High School (86-90): Lakewood, CO
College (90-94): Colorado College, Colorado Springs, CO
BA in Mathematics with Emphasis on Computer Science
Masters...swimming, not degree (97-99): Kalispell, MT
(99-03): Inverness, CO
(03-current): Salisbury, MD
I echo the Division III sentiments...though the team has vastly improved since I was there (connection?) It really was a great way to continue competing in the sport I love, for which I wasn't quite Division I quality.
And, no, I am not pleased that DU won the NCAA hockey championship (again).
See you all at SCY Nats!
That's funny ... I seriously looked into moving to Kalispell ... it's so beautiful there but alas I could not handle winter ... must move south instead and spend summers in Kalispell ...

Ah, but I'd be the other way around...rather live there in the winter and at the beach in the summer...ah, who am I kidding, I'd rather be there year-round. I actually lived in Whitefish...but the whole area is quite beautiful. What drew you there (or would have?)
