Graduated from the University of Denver in 69. Quit swimming to wait on tables at Vail during my winter quarters!!! Lost interest in swimming becasue of the great skiing in Colorado. Hoping to retire in Denver between 2006-2007 and swim with DU Masters. Way to go Pioneeers (Ice HOckey Team) in the Frozen Four. Pioneeers were 1st in skking also.
I went to Vanderbilt University and earned a BA in Economics and Spanish literature and then decided to stay for four more years and go to medical school. They didn't have a swim team when I was there but since I was such an academic geek there would have been no way I would have had time to swim.
I went to Michigan from 1970 to 1974; swam my freshmen year as a walk-on; was the second worst swimmer on the team.
Nevertheless, I did get to swim in a couple meets. I suppose I can tell Michael Phelps someday that the only difference between us is that I actually swam for Michigan in meets!

I know I could look it up, and I've always liked the way it sounds, but what IS a "nittany" lion?
I have a lot of friends who went to UCLA and I finally found out that a Bruin is a baby bear...
Here's where you can get the scoop about the Nittany Lion as well as the original school colors - pink and black!

I swam at Rice University 67-71 Team Captain 2 years. We were bad,but we beat Auburn in a duel meet.(The next year they got scholarships and soon they were awsome) I then went to Baylor College of Medicine. I started swimming Masters when I turned 25 in 1974 and have been loving it ever since!!
San Diego State University--Go Aztecs...er...Go State! (sorry, inside joke).
BS with Major in Kinesiolgy/Athletic Training, minored in Spanish.
Swam year round for my club team and wasn't exactly fast enough for the college team. We still don't have a pool there but apparently it's in the works.
I always thought it would be cool to be a banana slug....
Went to Baruch College in NYC, BBA in Finance & Investments, didn't swim as none of the scheduled pool times matched my own schedule, and I never liked swimming competitively (hated so much as a kid that I wouldn't tell my mom when we had competition so I wouldn't have to participate -- always got yelled at the coach for that).
Love to swim, but I get to anxious when I'm competing with someone, for me it takes the fun out of it (played many other sports in school, and always liked competing in those -- go figure!)
