Terry:
Brown unveiled a state of the art pool in 1973 that hosted the NCAA's a couple of years later. The pool complex had a beautiful wooden roof/ceiling. Last year the entire complex had to be torn out as no dehumidification system was built into the complex. As such, thirty years of excessive and (probably) chlorinated humidity rotted out the roof/ceiling creating a dangerous hazard. A temp pool is currently being built until a new complex can be built next year.
They also had National Masters there at least once, I believe. I didn't swim, but reports were that it was a great pool. Shame about the design!!!
