Rashguards

This is for the outdoor/open water swimmers of the group... Do you ever wear a rashguard when you swim? I'm not so much a wetsuit kind of person, but am pondering the merits of getting a rashguard in order to give my upper body a little extra sun protection. Living in Denver, the intensity of the sunshine can be a nightmare for someone that can burn easily (me). I've been looking at Speedo's rashguards, and they offer a fair amount of UV protection. I'm hoping that they might add a bit of warmth too. However, I'm wondering if anyone has used them regularly, and if there are any benefits or problems that you've had with them. Thanks!
