In another thread someone was talking about listening to a song to get you pumped up. I was just wondering what songs work for all of you?

p.s. I have heard that "Radar Love" by Golden Earing is a good workout song by several different swimmers b/c of it's fast and well defined beat.

Hey Newmasterswimmer, since you seem to be into local bands, ever heard of Fair Ground Attraction? I have no idea where they are from (New Orleans maybe?), but my daughter brought home one of their tapes several years ago... never heard of them since... shame too, I really liked them.

PS Hey guys let's post INPIRING LYRICS in this thread too
Funny you sould meantion that you're a song writer! I'm (sort of) an amateur singer/song writer myself. I record comedy music and I recently recorded a song about swimming!
if you want to hear it, it's in the Meaning of Swimming Thread.
The name of the song is "Swimmer's Ballad" and that one always gets me fired up like nobody's business.

Any heavy sound will work for me:Metallica, System of a Down, Megadeth, Pantera, Linkin Park, Disturbed, Korn ...etc., the heavier - the better!Oh yeah, baby!!!
I just don't know how some people can get pumped off Britney Spears or something of a kind.I respect all the tastes, though, 'cause "tastes differ"!!!( try to tell that to my little 17-year-old brother who is so much into metal that he created his own site for heavy music exchanging - he is a computer major, too- and has a collection of 1700 albums at the moment!!!).Crazy :-)

I've always found that musci is very distracting. I don't really understand using it ot get pumped up.
