art and the meaning of swimming

My twin brother is a former swimmer and current artist, and I told him about the "Meaning of Swimming" thread on this forum. I also told him how at night when I try to get to sleep, I will sometimes visualize myself flowing through the water, very relaxed, effortless in the blue water. John has been working on digital art in recent years, and he did a semi-abstract animation that gets some of this feeling across. I invite one and all to take a look at his website: www.jrtart.com Once you log on, click on "animation galleries" and scrowl down until you see one with a picture of a sunset, then play this. It probably works best if you have a cable or DSL modem, otherwise it can take a while to view it. If you check it out, let me know what you think and I will forward your comments to John. He said he may try to do some more swimming art in the future. Thanks.

Which kind of creates a paradox, if you would believe that each feels the exact copy of himself if fueling his copy's best interests, creating, in a sense, a mirror trick where by he would actually be looking out for his own best interests. The paradox being, by looking out for his genetic identifier's best interests, he is identically looking out for his own. But, of course, you are two different people, and I just enjoy torturing you, Jimbo. Steph
