My twin brother is a former swimmer and current artist, and I told him about the "Meaning of Swimming" thread on this forum. I also told him how at night when I try to get to sleep, I will sometimes visualize myself flowing through the water, very relaxed, effortless in the blue water.
John has been working on digital art in recent years, and he did a semi-abstract animation that gets some of this feeling across. I invite one and all to take a look at his website:
www.jrtart.com
Once you log on, click on "animation galleries" and scrowl down until you see one with a picture of a sunset, then play this.
It probably works best if you have a cable or DSL modem, otherwise it can take a while to view it. If you check it out, let me know what you think and I will forward your comments to John. He said he may try to do some more swimming art in the future. Thanks.

I just want to mention that I have really enjoyed perusing around your twin brother John's Website....I have become particularly attracted to the "Cameron Prints" there....They are extremely fascinating to me.....The Cameron Print line contains such a wide variety of textures and color schemes that portray such a wide array of emotions (IMHO).....I have written several different reviews of some of the prints I was most drawn too. If anyone else is into this kind of thing I highly reccommend checking this website out!.....
ALSO There is a really cool article that Jim Thornton wrote for the Men's Journal a few years back on Masters Swimming posted on the Website in John's Blog along with some very interesting poetry......Jim's article really got me pumped up about Nationals this year!.....Thanks Jim for making the article available to be posted on John's Website!
