  • 330 Man: I do not believe the World Championship Trials will be televised at all. The only trials that are ever televised are the Olympic Trials every 4 years. During the first day of the WCT on April 1 they will be showing the NCAA Mens Swimmng Championship over on ESPN 2. We are luckly to even get the World Swimming Championships on TV. In 2003, ESPN showed all of the coverage from Spain and I have it on VHS, practically the whole meet. In 2001, there was no TV from Japan for this event. My understanding is that ESPN will have coverage of this event from Montreal similar to what they had in Spain. If they do this they probably won't show any of the USA Nationals. The last time I remember USA Nationals being televised nationally, was in 2002 in Ft. Lauderdale. That was the meet that had World Records performed by Natalie Coughlin in the 100 Back and Michael Phelps and Eric Vendt in an exciting race breaking the 400 IM Record held by Tom Dolan. There are tickets still available for the WCT. I am going on the weekend of April 2 - 3 and looking foreward to some great swims.
