I was offered a presciption for steroids in 1952. I went to the library and found out what they were and I told my doctor no.
I knew all kinds of athletes who took them I don't think any one really benefitted from their use.

Even in sports where there is a lot of testing, you cannot catch everyone. I do think that some of the people now in my age group, (mid-40's) having terrible shoulder & back problems used. The problems are the same types of problems people who used steroids have. I'm not saying all of the people used. We will n ever know!
