We have our editorial calendar mapped out a year in advance, but we're always interested in speaking with new writers. If you're interested in writing for the magazine, please feel free to contact me individually at: editor@usms.org
Although we will read unsolicited manuscripts, we prefer to see writing samples and then select writers whose style would lend itself to the planned feature. Rather than publishing writer's guidelines, we do assignments individually. When an assignment is done, we provide written assignment sheets for each feature. The assignment sheets have all the details including notes on the focus of the piece, word length, etc.

We have been working very hard behind the scenes to get this magazine started, and so far, it has been an amazing experience! The level of activity, attention to detail, and number of talented people contributing to the project has been quite impressive.
We hope the members of USMS will see themselves in our national publication more than ever before, and we hope readers will enjoy the magazine as much as we have enjoyed creating it.
