question on the IM

I was driving home today and started pondering about the 200 im suppose for a moment in the 200 IM you got to choose where you put each stroke in the race there's 24 different ways to do it what do you think would create the fastest over all time would Fly Back *** Free be the fastest combo for you? If not what would? Why? personally I'm thinking Fly *** back free would be fastest for me Probably Back Free *** Fly would be slowest What about you Anyone got any comments? Ande Rasmussen

  • i think starting with back would be the slowest because you wouldn't get the advantage and momentum of a dive off the block. you'd have to start in the water. ending with fly would be plain ugly and painful for me it's kind of a complex question. Because as you move the swim sequence around you'd gain in some and lose in others i know if I put fly on the end I'd be lucky to go under 30 for 50 yards and at the beginning it would be pretty easy to go under 25 ande Originally posted by SWinkleblech I think my fastest would be the fly, ***, back, free.
