The smart surfahs use Shiseido Sun Block Stick because you can use it around your eyes when you're not wearing goggles and it won't sting too. Smear it around and above your forehead. Put some on your face and nose, etc. It is small and compact. For the rest of the bod it is Coppertone Sport (the cream protects better than the gel, but I like the gel too), for it has the "no slip grip," so I don't drop my board when I have to carry it. No tan lines please, clyde
  • My hubby wears a rash guard under his wetsuit while surfing. It keeps the wetsuit from chafing his neck. It's just a very thin short sleeve shirt made out of swim suit material. It looks like a mock turtle neck. I believe they also have long sleeve ones as well. More and more people on my team are wearing rashguards to workout in. Our pool is outdoors and the sun is brutal!

a rash guard is the "shirt" you see surfers wearing while they are in the water... speedo sells them. they're cool! i've never had one, but i think the material is somewhat similar to a wetsuit. my fave block (from my lifeguarding days and at the beach)... i use any spray block (usually coppertone)... i have really sensitive skin, the lotion burns my face (especially when i have to re-apply). be sure to rub it in all over after you spray. it doesn't make your hands all gooey like lotion. it's convenient especially when you are in a hurry! LOVE IT! i don't buy any other stuff.
