Super teams

What are your thoughts about teams combining for out of LMSC meets (not nationals) and not competing as the same team within the LMSC.

  • Jerry, I may be wrong, but isn't Rocky Mountain Masters the state of Colorado? Reading Lisa's comment on the poll I put up awhile ago, and based on your research, I guess Pacific Masters will have to compete as one team to be competitive from now on. We have 25% of the USMS membership... but of course not everyone competes. Our coaches will have field days making relays. All of the national relay records will read "Pacific Masters". Our mixed relays will include people like: Laura Val, Jim Clemmons, Suzanne Heim-Bowen, Roque Santos, among the dozens of other world record holders. Maybe this whole LMSC and state thing isn't such a bad idea. I like the idea of knowing my "team" has won Nationals before we even go. Should we just contend Nationals on paper and save everybody the time and money of actually competing?
