If it is not an advantage, and not a disadvantage, why do it? You seem to have hooked onto splitting teams into these two categories as a way to "improve" the team scoring. I'm thinking it is only slightly better than picking names out of a hat.
I'd like to see if I can use data to support my point, instead of more rhetoric on my part. :D How can you tell whether a team is considered "club" or "superteam"? I already gave an example of the Racing Club, where depending on your definition, they could go either way. I'd like to use past Nationals to see what trends there are. If I see a name, let's say "Alabama Coast Masters" (made-up), how do I know if it is one club team or several combined?
