What are your thoughts about teams combining for out of LMSC meets (not nationals) and not competing as the same team within the LMSC.

When I discussed this at workout today, everybody I talked to said that SUPERTEAMS get to pick and choose their relays from entire states or regions. If that's not an advantage... I think you have hit one of the points of disagreement on the head. You appear to think that picking one's relay swimmers from a dispersed geographic area gives an advantage, while others think that where people live is irrelevant to their ability. If one team draws it members from a city with a population of one million and another draws its members from a state with a population of one million is there reason to believe that the team drawn from the state will have an advantage over the city team? If anything I would personally expect that the city team would have an advantage in terms of accessible training facilities and coaching. The majority of posters here seem to believe that if two teams bring 50 swimmers to a meet then they will be evenly/fairly matched regardless of whether the teams are club teams or superteams. You seem to believe otherwise, can you explain why?
