I figured for sure that somebody would have posted about him. Anyhow, it is a pretty sad set of circumstances for this poor guy. He has his whole life ahead of him, with or without swimming, and now because of a snowboarding accident he may never walk or kick again.

On Dave's site (above post) if you go to Dave's stuff there are videos for sale. Goswim will donate all profits to Dave for his treatment and recovery. I think it's great because you can donate and also get something to help with your breaststroke. :)

This week's Speedo Tip of the Week is an update about Dave. It sounds like he is doing really well! It has also has some information about funds that have been started to help with the medical costs, and a link to some amazing video of him swimming.

I saw that this AM and downloaded the video clip as well. Watching him underwater makes me realize how screwed up my breaststroke really is. I think I read in one of his updates that he is starting to get some feeling in his lower back. Hopefully that is a positive sign of recovery.
He writes in his online journal on his website frequently. He is hysterical. I try to visit his site a couple times a week. It will make you laugh guaranteed. It's also a good motivator. Here is this guy that is stuck in a wheelchair for the time being (I truly believe he will walk again) and he is so upbeat and positive. IF he can be upbeat, positive, and maintain a good sense of humor then we all can. He seems like a great guy.
