I started swimming in the mornings with the masters team this week, and man, am I hungry!! What does everyone eat for breakfast? I feel like I'm not eating as well as I did before I started swimming in the mornings, and I don't really know what I should be eating. I'm hungry all the time. I used to have Special K for breakfast, but it doesn't last at all after swimming. Any suggestions?

I swim early mornings. My workout takes a little over an hour.
Pool opens at 5:30. If I were to eat a really heavy breakfast (which I do AFTER the swim) I would have to get up at 3:30 and eat right away to let it settle enough before I get in the pool.
I get up at 4:30. I eat a banana, a cup of coffee, a glass of fruit juice (different juices from day to day depending on what's in the fridge) and my morning vitamins. That gives me some simple carbs and lots of fluid (and a little caffiene) to keep me going through the workout, all without being too heavy in my stomach as I work out. I drink a 32-ounce bottle of water spaced throughout my workout.
I usually get home within a half hour of getting out of the pool. By then I am profoundly famished. I eat a full breakfast and lots more fluids. At this point it is about 7:00-7:30. And that lasts me adequately until lunch.
