Finished a meet yesterday and my shoulder starting aching, no sharp pain, it's a dull ache, no specific pain when I move it a particular way, just a dull continual ache. It feels like something more than a sore muscle, it feels more internal. I'm going to rest it today, just do some running instead. So here are my questions...
My right shoulder(dominant arm) feels fine, could it be my shoulder is not used to the stress like my dominant arm?
Could it be some connective tissues are over stressed?
If it's imporper stroke, could only one shoulder ache?
Also I feel it most when I do breaststroke.
I'm looking for advice to get this shoulder feeling good again, I will be babying it until it feels good again, any other suggestions. Better to rest some now than lots later.

I would say to ice it and take Ibuprofen regulary. When I was having shoulder problems, I had to take a week off and it sucked! But rest is the best medicine for it. Try resting it and doing some strengthing exercises. There is a really good link to some shoulder exercises in a previous post about sore shoulders, you may have to go back and look for it a few weeks though. Hope you feel better!!

Rest is probably a good idea. My left shoulder aches regularly when I move it in certain directions; especially while I sleep. It does not bother me at all when I swim but I suspect swimming is preventing it from healing up completely. I tried 2 days off and that did not work. Perhaps I need a week off. That would suck.
