hey everybody. haven't posted in a bit, and I miss ya'll! well, you won't believe it buy I finally got barracudas. acutally, a lady at the healthclub GAVE them to me because they're not oval and that's what she needs. I, of course, gladly accepted. but, the problem is that the leak. the left much worse than the right and I only get about 1/2 way through a swim before my eyes just about burn out from cholorine/leaks. please, help me fix this. I changed out to a bigger bridge piece. maybe it's too big? any suggestions would really help! jerrycat:D

of your face molds them to your eye sockets. It takes a few days--especially if someone else was wearing them BEFORE you got them. I switch off between summer and winter goggles (clear in winter and tinted in summer)---it takes a few sessions for the foam pieces to remold to my face. They live in their "off-season" on the plastic pedestal in the container. I've had some luck, early in the season, with firmly "burping" them when I place them on my face and press hard to seat them. Also--try adjusting the strap position on your head. Somehow I ALWAYS have one eye that "leaks"--right now it's the left. Something as stupid as a sinus infection or a little bit of a puffy face can let the water find its' way in. Also--rinsing them in cool water AFTER swimming may help keep them in good condition. I had to work on my foam pads with a little bleach and water this week due to the "creeping crud" that developes. I also washed the foam pads AND the lens with Phisoderm to break up the oils that collect--be SURE to rinse well. Phisoderm in the eye isn't pretty!

Barracuda has a new black foam that is softer and more leakproof then the white foam. You can buy a new foam set for about 6 dollars including the clip and a new strap. Oh well 10 with shipping. Kastaway ect has them . thats a nice thing about the Barracudas the foam kit. Most goggles Im seeing today are pushing 15 dollars for some plastic (sweedes excepted there still cheap) Any way Barracudas some times have to be tightened up a bit then they mold to the face. The new black foam however does give a better seal.
